WELCOME TO THE HOTEL SERVICES TRAINING ADVISORY GROUP

NEW “CHAIR” FOR HOTEL SERVICES TRAINING ADVISORY GROUP

With immediate effect, Brandon Morgan has resigned from the Chair of the Hotel Services Training Advisory Group and also from membership of the TAGs.

Brandon has been offered a move into Corporate Development to undertake a service development and business-planning role for his Trust, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and understandably, he wants to give this new role his full commitment.  Brandon has put a lot of hard work and enthusiasm into the TAGs and will be missed.

Due to the resignation of Brandon Morgan, a new chair for the Hotel Services Training Advisory Group has been appointed and we are very pleased to announce that the new Chair is ALISON SLATER, Facilities Manager, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Alison has worked for over twenty years in the NHS across the North West, initially within catering services but moving across into Hotel Services in 1986 when this new role was starting to be developed.  Prior to joining the NHS, Alison was a restaurant manager for F W Woolworth in a number of large stores across the country.

Outside of work, Alison is an enthusiastic football supporter and a National Trust Volunteer.

Alison feels that the profile of Hotel Services within any hospital or clinic setting is linked to Patient Choice and Customer Satisfaction and that the Hotel Services Training Advisory Group has an important role in supporting the development of front line service staff.

Alison and the other members of the HS TAG will continue the excellent work initiated by the founder members of the group covering topical issues and providing interactive learning and networking opportunities for participants on a multi-trust basis.
