MANAGEMENT TRAINING COURSE

to be held on

THURSDAY 1st MARCH 2007
at
CLAYTON PARK CONFERENCE AND LEARNING CENTRE,
Clitheroe Conference Room,
Junction 7 Business Park, Blackburn Road, Clayton le Moors, Accrington, BB5 5JW.

THIS COURSE IS DESIGNED TO DEVELOP SUPERVISORS AND TEAM LEADERS FROM ALL FACILITIES SERVICE DISCIPLINES.  THIS IS A ONE-DAY COURSE COVERING BASIC MANAGEMENT ACTIVITIES CULMINATING IN A CASE STUDY PRESENTATION.

The aim of the day is to encourage diverse thinking through structured seminar sessions and group activities.  The seminar sessions will focus of financial management, human resource management, government initiatives, legislation and auditing.  The group work sessions will develop a whole range of management skills including multi-disciplinary team working, leadership, communication, delegation, decision-making, organisational and motivational skills.  Working in groups, individuals will also have an insight into group dynamic issues.

The case study presentation will give individuals the opportunity to demonstrate what they have learnt throughout the day.

The course can be mapped against the following KSF dimensions and specific indicators.

THE COURSE WILL GIVE EACH PARTICIPANT A FIRM FOUNDATION IN WHICH TO DEVELOP THEIR SUPERVISORY AND MANAGEMENT POTENTIAL.

The cost of attending the conference is £100.00 per person.  This includes attendance at the conference, course handouts, coffee/tea on arrival, mid morning coffee/tea and biscuits, 2-course lunch and afternoon tea/coffee and biscuits.

(Unless otherwise requested, invoices for conference payment will be sent out in the new financial year commencing April 2007)

A CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE WILL BE ISSUED TO ALL DELEGATES WHO ATTEND THIS NORTHERN NHS HOTEL SERVICES TRAINING ADVISORY GROUP EVENT

By road – Clayton Park Conference and Learning Centre is located immediately off Junction 7 of the M65.  At the roundabout follow the sign for A6185 Clitheroe onto Dunkenhalgh Way.  Straight through the traffic lights to the Junction 7 Business Park Gatehouse, where staff will give parking directions.  Follow the blue signs directing you left for Conference Centre Parking.  The entrance to the Centre is directly opposite to the Junction 7 Gatehouse.

Local bus services – 2-Accrington/Great Harwood, 152-Preston/Burnley stop outside Junction 7 Business Park.

Nearest railway station is Accrington (approx 3 miles).
