Present a one-day conference on:

GOVERNANCE

held on

FRIDAY, 15TH MAY 2009

at

THE CONFERENCE CENTRE,
Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Trust,
Wrightington Hospital, Hall Lane, Appley Bridge, Near Wigan.

Managing performance and providing assurance is increasingly high profile. NHS organisations must continue to yield improved efficiency, productivity and value for money.  High performing NHS organisations recognise that in order to provide high quality services, which meet patients and customers needs must be underpinned with an effective Governance structure. Robust Governance structures deal with accountability and responsibilities, policy frameworks and boundaries as well as outlining how the organisation is directed and controlled.  The conference will cover a range of topics presented by speakers who will share their knowledge and expertise on this topical subject.

The conference sessions will include:

  • 'The Premises Code: a Code of Practice for Quality and Safety in Healthcare Premises'
  • The Health and Social Care Act 2008 – Code of Practice for the NHS on the prevention and control of healthcare associated infections and related guidance
  • Developing a Board Assurance Framework
  • Care Quality Commission – The impact on Estates & Facilities
  • How do Estates and Facilities provide robust Assurance to Non-Executive Directors

This conference will be of special interest to Estates and Facilities Directors, Facilities Managers, Estates Managers and Hotel Services Managers who play an integral role in ensuring effective systems are in place to assist their departments in demonstrating robust assurance to their Trust Boards.

WE ARE EXPECTING THIS CONFERENCE TO BE FULLY SUBSCRIBED.  IF YOU WISH TO ATTEND, PLEASE COMPLETE AND SEND IN AN APPLICATION FORM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

The cost of attending the conference is £100.00 per person.  This includes attendance at the Conference, course handouts, coffee/tea & bacon roll on arrival, mid morning coffee/tea, 2-course buffet lunch and afternoon tea/coffee.
