THE FM ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2008

A TWO-DAY RESIDENTIAL

“60 YEARS ON - IS THE NHS IN GOOD HEALTH?

held on

THURSDAY AND FRIDAY, 25TH AND 26TH SEPTEMBER 2008
at the
SWAN HOTEL, NEWBY BRIDGE, CUMBRIA

"As the NHS reaches 60 will it be able to deliver for an ageing nation or is it itself beginning to falter.  Following the Darzi report, how is the NHS to respond?  Will it remain true to its roots in being able to provide a service 'free at point of delivery' or will it now move to a two-tier service?

As the NHS looks forward to its seventieth decade this conference will look at what is likely to happen.  How may health delivery change with new technologies and methods of delivery?  What buildings and assets will the NHS need in ten years time and who will own them?

This conference will not only reflect on how far we have travelled, but look forward to how healthcare will need to change.  Debate will always be interesting and stimulating.  With care pathways dictating major changes in the way healthcare is delivered the future will be challenging in getting the strategy right.

The conference will benefit Estate and Facilities Directors and aspiring Directors as well as service planners and people looking how the future direction may impact on their services and how they may be delivered."

The conference is always well attended so delegates are encouraged to register their interest as early as possible.
