The U.K. has one of the most tightly regulated health and safety regimes in the world.  Monitoring is extensive and the courts are demonstrating their willingness to prosecute and support litigation by employees.  In the content of effective corporate governance, managing risks is a key issue for all directors and senior managers in the NHS.  Risks include the health and safety of the organisations workers and of others including members of the public.  The objective of this conference is to provide senior managers working in the NHS with an understanding of their roles and responsibilities particularly in line with the HSE code of directors’ responsibility for health and safety. 

Agenda to include:

Managements Legal Health and Safety Responsibilities - The Cost of Non-Compliance - Setting Policies Objectives and Standards – The Management of Contractors on Site - Management Skills Required - Involving Staff - Training - Avoid Excessive Bureaucracy - Maintaining Records and Managing Incidents - Civil Actions and Prosecution - Auditing and Reviewing Performance etc.

The conference will be held in the Rowan Suite of Ribby Hall Village in unique and modern award-winning conference facilities set in 100 acres of landscaped grounds. 

The cost of attending the conference is £100.00 per person.  This includes attendance at the conference, course handouts, coffee/tea and Danish on arrival, mid morning coffee/tea and biscuits, 2-course lunch served in the restaurant, and afternoon tea/coffee and muffins.

RIBBY HALL IS LESS THAN 2 MILES FROM JUNCTION 3 OF THE M55, JUST OFF THE A585. 
From the M6, join the M55 at Junction 32. Leave the M55 at Junction 3 and take the 1st exit at the roundabout (signposted to Kirkham, A585).  Take the 2nd exit (almost straight on) at the 1st, 2nd and 3rd roundabouts, signposted Wrea Green.  At the large roundabout on the Blackpool/Preston road (A583), take the 2nd exit (almost straight on) towards Wrea Green.
