Electrical Safety Seminar for ‘Duty Holders’

held on

Friday, 25th April 2008
at

THE CONFERENCE CENTRE,
Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Trust, Wrightington Hospital,
Hall Lane, Appley Bridge, Near Wigan

The NEW 17th Edition Wiring Regulations – What’s new?

If you are designated a ‘Duty Holder’ or you are responsible for electrical safety at one or more sites then you cannot afford to take any chances.  This seminar aims to give delegates a better understanding of the elements of the new 17th Edition Wiring Regulations that are necessary to provide an electrically safe working environment for their own staff, contractors and visitors to their premises.  It is also intended to clearly identify the significant changes from the previous edition of the Wiring Regulations.

The seminar speakers, all highly experienced in the field of electrical safety, will be presenting their views on the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, the changes in the 17th Edition Regulations and how it will affect the duty holder, the role of the Health & Safety Executive in the enforcement of current legislation, insurance issues, how to defend your position, the levels of competence required in electrical installation and electrical maintenance as well as the need to implement electrical safety programmes in order to satisfy the demands of the law.

This seminar is a ‘must see’ for ‘DUTY HOLDERS,’ effectively individuals who must comply with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 in respect of matters within their control, or any manager or employee who may be nominated for that role and how the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations should be applied.

Stay safe. Stay legal. Stay in control.
