Facilities Hotel Services

present a one-day conference on

MANAGING FIRE SAFETY IN HEALTHCARE PREMISES

to be held on
FRIDAY 10th June 2005
at
THE CONFERENCE CENTRE,
Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Trust, Wrightington Hospital,
Hall Lane, Appley Bridge, Near Wigan

Both legislation and the current structure and status of FIRECODE are changing to meet the current day needs of a modern healthcare environment. This will have implications on all NHS Trusts.

The day will discuss how this new legislation is changing and what will be expected from Trusts, especially in terms of RISK MANAGEMENT and how this affects the current NHS Facilities environments of Treasury funded CAPITAL DEVELOPMENTS, PROCURE 21, PFI, and LIFT schemes. It explores how the revised and developing INTEGRATED RISK MANAGEMENT PLANNING being now implemented by the Fire Service will affect and support our organisations.

The full impact of a real incident will be mapped, with learning opportunities from real Fire situations, not just exploring the spread of fire, but concentrating upon the impact such an event has upon the Estates and Facilities services, and their ability to continue to provide a service during and after an incident.
This is an opportunity to gain first hand knowledge of the REVISED LEGISLATION, POLICY and GUIDANCE from acknowledged experts with practical experience of managing Fire Safety in different areas of the NHS and Fire Service.

The conference will be of major interest to all Estates and Facilities professionals, especially those who are Nominated Officers of Fire or Deputies and those who have an involvement in FIRE SAFETY especially related to RISK MANAGEMENT, MAJOR AND MINOR CAPITAL DEVELOPMENTS or INCIDENT MANAGEMENT.

The cost of attending the conference is £100.00 per person. This includes attendance at the conference, course handouts, coffee/tea and biscuits on arrival, 2 course buffet lunch and afternoon tea/coffee and biscuits.
